I am acutely aware that my posting frequency here is ridiculously low, and as a result I’ve lost all but two of my paying subscribers. I had hoped to focus more on publishing here, and expand my paying readership so that I could spend more time writing about things that interest both me and my readers.
My excuse is that I’ve been struggling with caring responsibilities and the black dog of depression, with the beast proving resistant to drug therapy. The caring stuff is good for me as well as the family members concerned. Anyways, the situation is now having an adverse effect on my principal paid work, and that cannot stand.
Last week on Mastodon (mstdn.media/@hesgen), I promised to write about climate change and Antarctic ice shelf loss. I will honour that pledge, so watch this space.
Sorry to hear you've been struggling with depression, Francis. And that I'm not one of your paying subscribers (I'm currently out of work anyway and having to reduce rather than increase expenditure!) But I do enjoy reading your articles.
